Saturday was a stormy start to last weekend. It was nice to pull out a lamp, set myself up in a comfortable spot, and draw while listening to the thunder.
This sketch is of my brother holding a small spyglass that belonged to my grandfather.
Is this Alex? He looks very sane. Wonderful sketch! I like how the drawing is very loose and gets tighter and tighter as you Zoom in on the (fabulous, intense) eyes.
Ha! Thanks Kimberlee. This is Andrew, the straight man. I had to soften his expression a bit when I drew this. He looked like he had recently made a hard yet just verdict.
As for Alex, he is still wearing his nice little straitjacket.
A few things that your picture shows of Andrew. He is right out of the 18th century, did you notice the way he poses his hands. He is a brilliant mind and a good tactician. (referring to the way he beats me at chess and war games)

your draftsmanship is too good
Wow! Such a wonderful expression on his face. Like the pencil strokes too.
Thanks Danny and Kim.

I'm on the loose again! Ha Ha!
