Ant! You are on it man! This is awesome. Wonderful to see you dig into the bad guys now!!! I would love to see an entire chapter of ROTK mocked up with pencil illustrations by you. Honestly, I think that the pencils are what AD's will go find compelling, more so than the finished paintings. Even though I know you just enjoy the challenge of the paintings, but you could really pull off a heavily illustrated Tolkien, Like a Hobbit edition, that looks like Scott Gustafson's Eddie book he just put out. You need to check that book out and get inspired!

Hey I'd be tickled pink if I got to work on a Lord of the Rings project. still need to check out that book. I'm looking forward to 2012, and reorganizing things. This year has not gone as planned.

Thanks Man!

Oh my word. So much detail! I love the contrast between the tunic and the chain maille on the legs.

This reminds me of an acquaintance of mine who can do a very faithful Nazg├╗l Fell-Beast screech.

Thanks, Gaelen. I seem to remember you do a good Gollum impersonation yourself. I do a pretty good Frodo. All we need now is a few more characters and we can do a radio show!

Dear Anthony,

I stumbled across your site sometime last year, and I absolutely love your work! I am an artist-in-the-making, and I'm so impressed with the expression you put into your cartoon styles, as well as the detail in your realistic, more "serious" pieces. Your artwork is a huge inspiration to me. Keep up the great posts!

Take care,
Laura
