Marker and Ink Wash Sketch

Playing with some new Faber-Castell brush pens.

The funny thing about this picture is that while drawing it, I could hear on my stereo, Yo-Yo Ma performing Bach (Prelude), and this followed by Mozart (Violin Concerto No. 3). Not exactly fitting music for this sketch. Perhaps that explains his somewhat calm demeanor.

Any suggested names for this guy?

Another Sketch

I know this is a lousy excuse for a post - a sketch on lined paper - but I will try to post more regularly on the blog in the future. I can't share most of the work I'm doing right now, and not much time is left for personal drawing.

By the way, she's wearing a life preserver.
