The Charging Lion

I started this drawing last night and finished it this morning. Some inspiration coming from the 1950 adaptation of King Solomon's Mines, starring Deborah Kerr and Stewart Granger.

I wanted to experiment with the use of solid blacks in my work so I had the idea to do this comic style piece.

Thats fantastic.
They are pretty worried about the next few seconds!
I love her eyes.

BTW, have you gotten any proposals through Shannon yet? i really cant wait to see your stuff in print. I will be a collector for sure!

Thanks Joe! This one was fun to sketch

Nothin' yet on the publishing front. It does seem odd seeing the work of artists I've followed for years and know I'm represented by the same agency.

And thank you also for the collector comment! I can't wait to see your book in print!

I noticed that he keeps her in between him and the lion.

Actually he's missed the lion twice and she's trying to get the gun from him.
