A very kid friendly dragon!! Love it! The other color scheme would be interesting to see as well. I'd have to see them side by side. It also depends on what personality your dragon has...the cooler colors may give a friendlier dragon feel where as the warmer colors a more formidable feel.(which isn't bad...it just depends on what your dragon's characterization is)Am I making any sense at all?
I think red is less expected - but it looks great...
We're both doing dragon paintings right now. You win tho' Great piece!
i like the green and it does make him look more friendly...you could make it fall and surround him by reds and oranges.....and he looks super awesome by the way!
Incredible texture on the dragon - wow! I think the greeny blue would work against the background you describe, as long as the turquoise is really bright and zingy!
Hey Phyllis! thanks! and you're making perfect sense... I think I'll keep the cool colors. as I developed his character it seemed important to make him less villainous (Although one brother wanted him in red, the youngest brothers wanted blue or green)Hey thanks Kelly! Thanks Eric... haha its not a contest :) your dragon looks fantastic.. can't wait to see it in colorThanks Christina! that's a great idea about the fall backdrop! Thanks Jess! I think the bluish green wins
Anthony~ the characters in your last two posts are wonderful.I love the more sketchy feel of the girl & boy. It does add the drama.~Amy~
Thank you so much Amy!
he is gorgeous! :)
He has such a great expression on his face. The green color feels really friendly in this picture. I wonder if red would have the same feel. It would totally stand out more in front of a dominantly green background though. What about purple? That could keep it's friendly-ness, (it seems like that's what you are going for) and stand out in front of a green background.
Anthony, sorry it's been awhile – teaching can take up quite a bit more time than I expected. But I have to wonder, why in the world hasn't a publisher picked you up yet?!? THe last 3-4 posts have looked marvelous! Keep up the great work, I love what you do!
Thanks Kathy! Thanks Manelle! Purple is a good ideaHey David! Thank you so much!
